They also traversed through Lothlorien, ruled by evles, however this is the name for the forest and the general area, there was no given name for the city they visited in the movies and the books (I believe it was revealed in Lost Tales or Similarion

The elven city is Rivendell. However, there was also the forest of Lothlorien which is where Galadriel and the woodland elves lived. Aragorn's "girlfriend's" name is Arwen Undomiel, she is Elrond's daughter who is master of Rivendell. However, the movie also plays up a little romance between Eowyn and Aragorn. Eowyn was King Theodin's niece. Theodin is king of Rohan which is the horse-city. However, the movie hollywood-ifies that romance much more than Tolkien ever did. Aragorn and Arwen were destined for one another. Eowyn ends up with Faramir, brother to Boromir who is part of the Fellowship that leaves Rivendell as well as the son of the steward of Gondor. Hehe... sorry getting carried away!

Arwen is the correct spelling, and Rivendell was the main elf city ruled by Elrond. They also visited a second elf city in the forest called Lothlorien. It was the home of Galadriel (played by Cate Blanchett in the movies).

The elven city where Arwen lives is called Rivendell, but there is also the forest city/community of elves in Lothlorien. There are other ancient elven cities mentioned in the books, but these are the two that have parts in the storyline.

Well I don't mind answering it again, since Lord of the rings is my favourite movie of all time, all the three movies. :-)
There were two elf cities in Lord of the rings; Rivendell and Lothlorien (shorter, Lorien).
The name of Aragorn's girlfriend was Arwen Undomiel.

Hobbiton is the name of the town where the hobbit's live. Rivendale is the name of the elf city.
