It isn't possible I'm afraid - OFCOM (and previously the ITC) strictly regulates the amount of adverts on terrestrial TV to a certain number of minutes per hour.

not sure, but my gran commented the other day that the commercial breaks are getting LONGER, this could be what you are finding.

their programmes are so crap, they have to fill in more of the time getting extra money with the advertising revenue
