It depends on what disease or condition you have; seizures by themselves don't preclude having a baby. After your baby is born, you may also need to take specific precautions (such as only holding the baby on a soft surface if your seizures come on suddenly and unexpectedly).

I have a seizure disorder, and I had two perfectly healthy, normal little boys. I didn't have any problems conceiving, either. One thing you have to be especially careful of is the medicine you're taking (if any) to control your seizures. I'm taking Tegretol, which is known for causing neural tube birth defects (spina bifida) and cleft lip and cleft palate. My ob/gyn put me on a double dose of folic acid, and my boys are perfect and beautiful. :)
You should really discuss this with your neurologist and your ob/gyn. And if you are trying now, START TAKING YOUR FOLIC ACID! All women of child bearing age (whether they're trying to have a baby or not) should take a folic acid supplement daily. This is especially important that you take it your first trimester though, becuase that's when the spine forms in your baby.

I don't see why not.
If you are young, I can understand you asking this question and being afraid to even ask your doctor, but he or she is the best person to talk to about it. Or tell your parents your concern so they can ask for you.
You would have to be a little bit more specific about why you have the seizures, I think, for anyone to give you an accurate answer.
I personally don't think that would stop you from having a baby.
Good luck.

Talk to your doctor (the one who prescribes your medication to control your seizures). Many people with seizures have children... you just have to be careful. Your doctor will know best if the meds you are taking will affect pregnancy, and will know a course of action to take. Good luck!

You would need to ask your Dr that question he would know your history, and would be best able to tell you whether or not you could handle a pregnancy

I have had seizures, but am not epileptic. No warnings from my doctor, except to be careful and note any problems immediately. However, please check with your doc first, because I am not sure of your individual situation.
