God I wish I had the time. My 3 kids no longer have afternoon naps and they make damn sure i don't either.

Yes I need an afternoon nap, to recover from my morning 40 winks, after spending an exhausting 12 hours in bed sleeping. Thank god for wing back chairs and memory foam seating rings, or I would never be able to handle the stress of it all.

Always. It's very good for you, especially if you are a mother of small children, it can re-energise you to deal with your 24 hr 'on call' duties!

Even at work, I used to take a short 10 minute "power nap" at lunchtime either at the desk or in the car. Amazing how it helps.

Now I have the luxury of being able to have a nap anytime of the day. Ah, retirement! ...zzzzzz...

abso-bally-lutely, when I can

we're not great napper here in Ireland but we are prone to good ideas from other places so when we heard about siesta we thought 'how in the name of all that is good and true in this world can we fit this into our day' some of us can some of the time (and our weather doesn;t really call for it) but it is a great idea and it has been proven that a nap between two and five in the day is the most benfical as that is the time you take a turn for the sleepy

so my advice nap, siesta, snooze, whatever you call it a great idea altogether

my bed is so much more comfy in the afternoon for some reason - I love afternoon naps although I now start work at 1pm so no chance during the week!

Hi Steven here!

I often have a quiet 20 mins most days during my lunch break at work particularly when its wet and rainy outisde!

It helps you work better in afternoon as you are recharging your batteries so to speak

according to Barney (the big purple dinosaur) everyone needs a nap!
" everybody needs a nap you know,
it'll help you to be smart and grow.
big or little
young or old
everybody needs a nap..." and so on
though no matter how many times my daughter has heard it she doesn't nap!!

a few years back i worked at a place where they did not mind if you rested your head on your desk for a few minutes. it was considered a "power nap".
apparently it makes your afternoons more productive. worked for me...
