I think i miscarried, but i am on BC. ok, this morning i woke up with really bad cramps to where i couldn't even go back to sleep. i just sat in the shower for 30 min. then i was getting ready for work and i felt a BM and decided to sit for a while. well, i felt like i couldn't go anymore, but i still had really bad cramps. well, i took out my tampon and a huge clump of white stuff came out with some blood attached. then i bled red blood for a min and then my cramps subsided and i haven't bled that much since. i got a pregnancy test on the way to work and it was negative. could this just be something esle or should i go see a Dr.?

I was supposed to have my period. well not really. i am on the nuva ring and i leave it in an extra week every other month so i won't have a period every month. so, i wasn't supposed to have a period cause i just put the new one in on friday. well, i did start spot bleeding really dark brownish blood on friday, then it got a little worse until today when the half white half blood clot looking material fell out. as far as being prego, i know BC isn't 100%, but the nuva ring is pretty good. but if i was less than 4 weeks on a prego test, it might not have shown i was pregnant. anyway y'all, i am going to the dr tomorrow at 8. i kept the clot and they are going to test it. i also have pictures of it. it does not look like a normal blood clot or i wouldn't have thought twice about it this morning. but because of y'all i am going to get it checked by the obgyn. Thanks everyone!

Well, if you took a pregnancy test after this, it would've still showed up as positive because you would still have small levels of HCG in your system.

I'm a bit confused though, did you know if you were actually pregnant or not? Did you take a pregnancy test before all of this? If you had a tampon in, I assume it was because you were expecting your period.....Would you mind clearing that up for us?

Based on that, I don't think you were pregnant, it sounds like you just had a heavy period, however I'd go to a doctor to make sure, just in case because if you did have a miscarriage, they might have to do a D & C on you to get any excess out. That's what they had to do with me.

2 out of 4 of my pregnancies I was on birth control. They can be weakened by anti-biotics or you can forget a few pills, they are not 100%. Even if it wasn't a misscarriage, it definately wasn't normal. If you weren't too far along, a test wouldn't show, but you also wouldn't have that much stuff come out. Go call your doctor.......now.

The only way to be 100% sure is to go to the Dr. He/She will do blood tests that will let you know if you have miscarried.
