Shirley sang "a song" called "The Wall". Pink Floyd has "an album" called "the Wall", but not a song. It's not Pink Floyd. I think its from sometime in the 1950's.

The song is from around 1959, so as you say isnt a copy of Pink Floyd.
During one of her visits to America Shirley recorded in New York under the direction of Mitch Miller, and it is from that session that the song "The Wall" is taken. This makes me think that it was Shirley Bassey that sang it originally

Chap above me is correct. Johnny Cash sang a song called the Wall. Lyrics below. Can't find any evidence though that Shirley Bassey ever sang this song though?
