How often does google earth update its satellite images?The same cloud is in the way for about 3-4 weeks now.?

It is my understanding that Google Earth pictures are a couple of years old.

I'm not sure but I don't think it's very often. I found my mother's house and it still had a pool. The pool was removed a couple of years back.
