Me and my friends play games online alot like Medal of Honour and Delta Force. I've recently been wondering how I can be my own server so I could be in control of the games aspects and invite people to games. I heard I may need a server drive?
Thanks!

There's no such thing as a "server drive". You've been told nonsense. Any computer can be a "server", though in most network setups, a server has dedicated server software to run server-based applications.
For what you're talking about, you'll need a static IP address and a registered website.

You will need :
a Static IP Address (supplied b your ISP)
enough bandwidth (upstream and downstream) to support connections
a computer capable of running the server engine of the games you want to play.
It can be quite difficult to get all these things at home, LAN parties are possible but On-line (Internet) gaming is very difficult.
My friends and i hire a server for £23/month from

might be worth a look, if you can get plenty of contributors it works out quite cheap

good luck!!

A server pc is a pc with a server software installed on it. You can install this software on any pc (check minimum requirements for the software)

-Windows xp PRO has IIS (internet Information Service) on it's CD. so you can install that.

-Another famous server software is Apache which is free. http://httpd.apache.org/

Installing server software could be quite complicated according to your requirments, but it's quite possible. I have done it.
