I've been married a little over a year and for the past 4 months about once a month after sex I cramp really bad. I'm not pregnant. I just stopped taking the pill about a month ago. We aren't trying to get pregnant but I don't know why this is happening is this normal?

Sometimes when you are close to orgasm or as a part of it, your uterus will contract as well. This is probably what is responsible for the cramps. However, I would suggest that you see a gyno to rule out anything serious.

I answered this before...for another young lady I believe...

What is dyspareunia?
Dyspareunia (say: "dis-par-oon-ya") is painful sexual intercourse for women. It can have many causes. It is important to talk to your doctor if you have this problem because there are effective treatments for many of the causes.

~~~~~~~~~
There are a few reasons for painful sex.
Like excesses your muscles inside your sexual body do contract and will get tender and sore. But excessive pain needs to be looked at by your doctor.
There are too many reasons to put them all here but see the sites and YOUR DOCTOR.
Sex should not always be painful...not extremely painful.
So please listen to MOST of us ladies, see a doctor!
its practically normal, but its just that u are stress with anxiety. Try to relax yourself and dont let your mind run wild when u indulge in sex. Your conditions is more due to fear, excitement and anxiety
that happened to my room mate as well.
I suggest you go to your doctor and tell him or her. it could be a cyst on your ovary, that what happened with her. you'll probably have to get an ultra sound to make sure its not something really serious.
I had the same problem. I went to my GYN. But they told me their was nothing to really do. He might be too big they said. or we're "doing" it to rough. But your case might be different. I think u should go see your GYN. here is also a helpful link
