That is a great question.
I ate a bag of banana chips two weeks ago, and yes I got diarrhea.

It's the fiber. Dried fruit is basically regular fruit without the water in it. Think about it. A banana chip was probably about 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch thick before it was dried. The average banana is about 6-7 inches long. So that's about 18-24 banana chips per banana, give or take. If you eat a lot more than that, it's like eating that many more bananas!! Dried apricots, figs, plums (prunes) and apples have even more fiber, and therefore stronger effects.

Check out the article below.

Many people associate fructose with the naturally occuring sugar in fruit. In fact, fruit contains about a 50% / 50% blend of sucrose and fructose. Sucrose in fruit is comprised of both glucose and fructose. Many nutritionalists will tell you that glucose is the "good" sugar that your cells can use readily for fuel. Fructose is the "not-so-good" sugar that must be processed by your liver prior to being converted to readily usable fuel for your cells. Further, fructose does not have the appetite inhibitors of glucose. That is, you can eat lots of fructose calories before feeling full whereas glucose calories will make you feel full sooner.
Anyway, banana chips are high in fructose which can wreak havoc in your intestines as noted in the attached article.

from personal experience I can tell you exactly how many. The cut off point is 96, any more than that and your off and running for the toilet every 6 minutes. Believe me I've made a study out of this....
