Because most people are afraid to have God speak to them, even though they ask Him to answer their question. They expect to be answered in actions not words.

It is not god speaking to you in the loony bin; its some some old priest who thinks he act on behalf on god.

maybe they are jealous cause he's not talking to them... who knows?... And putting the loonies together might give them the oportunity to actualy catch him on the act.

Because when you talk to a wall, usually people turn a blind eye.

But when you claim that same wall is talking back to you, people realise there's actually a problem.

true. but probably because god cannot talk to you but only guide you in your quest, he shows you the path, he doesn't tell you the path to take.
