i'm trying to lace my shoes like this but i don't know how...

Looks to me like the laces are crossed UNDER the tongue vs. above.

I also have a pair of slip on sneakers with elastic laces built in on the shoes that looks a lot like this so perhaps this is the case also.

from what ive seen you start from the very bottom and then you alternate laces. like for the next one you use the right laces (stick it through the hole from the bottom to the top and stick it through the other one) then with the left lace you skip the hole you did and do teh same to the hole above it, etc. there shouldnt any X's or anything under the tongue but more like alternative lines.

start at the toe of the shoe form the outside insert the string on both sides of the shoe evenly. Then go from the inside on 1 side of the shoe push it out the hole take it over the top of the shoe and put it in the hole accross from it, from the outside. Then take the other string and do the same untill your shoe is laced..........

start at the bottom as it looks then take the left lace and put it up the next hole up and then down into the hole across from it. Then take the right lace and put it up the 3rd hole and down across from it. Then go everyother and tie it underneath when you are finished

start with one end at the bottom left, go right, then up, then left, then up, then right, then up, then left, etc.

well tie your shoe then stuff it in your shoe
