I am an Eagles fan from way back in the day. I think there is about a 50/50 chance for the Eagles to get back to the Super Bowl in the next 5 years. It took the Giants 5 years just to get back to the playoffs (but part of that was the Eagles' fault). Carolina made it back to the NFC championship 2 years later, but they had Steve Smith. There is nobody comparable on the Eagles roster. Carolina is the only recent victim of the "Super Bowl loser's curse" who has come back to a conference championship.
Philly should challenge this year - they still have the core of the team that went to the Super Bowl 2 years ago - but they may be in the toughest division in football. The Giants, Cowboys & Redskins have been building teams to beat the Eagles for the past 6 years. If Jim Johnson can come up with a couple of new defensive wrinkles and succeed in his philosophy of making the opposing qb play worse than McNabb the Eagles might just make it back to the big game in the next few years.
As for Hank Baskett, we'll have to see how it goes in the "for real" games in September, but he sure looks like one hell of a possession receiver, a la Keyshawn or Jurevicius. Andy Reid owes Brad Childress for helping us out on that one.

Playoffs this year probably not the Super Bowl. I say 10-6.

im a big philly fam but i dont see them goin to the superbowl for about 3 years till they get the recieving core upgrades the defence needs to click this year and not have problems like last year and i think if hank baskett many be a third or 4th spot receiver but i dont think he will make it over brown, pinkston, or gaffney
