Simple question... if you are a Con or a Lib... Rep or Dem... I wanna know what you think.

What makes these two so opposed by their own party(for the most part, not completely).

Certainly not Leiberman. He is completely a democrat. The only major thing he differs from his party on is the war effort, which shouldn't be a political thing in the first place.
McCain could probably go either way, since he is a very moderate Republican, but I think his fiscal policies make too much sense for him to join the Dems.

McCain should start a third party with people who are reasonable. Leiberman should join the republicans and bore them all to death.

Leiberman voted with the Democrates over 90% of the time, his olny disagreement is he supports the war on terror...
I believe that McCain is about the same, he's pretty far left but he supports the war on terror.. maybe they should team up and start a 3rd party? not that they would get my vote

McCain already sold his soul to the neocons, and Leiberman, well, what can you do with him, the man has made a fol of himself. McCain is now a solid Republican citizen, so he's set, as of Joe, who the hell cares.
