If you think about it, our rights have been taken away little by little.

The right to free speech - Just watch what you say and to whom or you might find yourself in jail.

The right of peaceful assembly - Depends on what building you want to peacefully protest in front of. You might find yourself in jail.

The right to bear arms - With all the hoops you have to go through just to get a gun and in some instances, be denied that right.

The right to live your life - You cant be gay and live peacefully, you HAVE to wear a seat belt (we are adults, not children, cant we decide how safe we want to be?), We have to get permits just to fix our own homes., The taxes! First the government, then the state, and even in some cases, the city. You have to pay to work. Then the city taxes your home, just to live there. And they decide when and what to raise them too.

We are losing alot of our rights, but gradually. And they think because its gradual, that nobody notices.Pretty soon, every RIGHT will have its own rules and regulations that takes that RIGHT away from us. Its becoming a dictatorship.

I think our rights have already been stripped. Some people just haven't noticed yet. But I do believe that bombs can be made from just about anything, and I don't think that this last terrorist threat was a hoax. I live one day at a time anyhow, so no problem.
And too far is when someone told me I should pack a bag in case of an emergency, then listed all the stuff I should take. I asked them where in the hell would I go?

Yeah. And most of the morons don't realize that all of the rights their brothers, fathers, grandfathers, and other family members fought and sometimes died for aren't simply limited to the bare minimum of staying alive.

I mean, c'mon! Let's not just GIVE our civil liberties away!

Until recently, I was a Republican, but this time around, I'm doing a straight Democrat ticket. If you're a thinking person, you will too.

liquids on a plane? is that the reason your upset?

check the patriot act.. wiretaps and survalance without a warrent.. indefinet detention witout a lawyer without a phone call without being bale to tell anyone where you went, for as long as they want to keep you.,

THATS what you would be upset baout.. so to be stripped.. they ARE being stipped as we sit here brainwashed into complinace by the media,
its about the republicans wanting an republican police state with them holding all the cash and keys.

If we keep going with the mentality of being scared of offending others and bending to everyone else, we will loose who we are. Each time ther is a complaint, and we succumb to the complainer, we loose a right. Each time we enact a law to protect us from being an idiot, we loose a right. Each time we overlook common sense, we loose a right.

I'd rather get where I'm going without my hair gel than not get there at all.
