Intelligence Quotient - it's a system used in the past by Education and still by some organisations (eg MENSA) to measure the intelligence of a person. Apparently it doesn't alter with age - children used to be tested at age 11. It's a series of logic based questions set against time (you can still buy intelligence tests in bookshops) - if you can work them out quickly then you are considered to have a high intelligence.

The original ones were calculated for children:-
Mental Age/Chronological Age X 100
Ones for adults are caluculated so that 100 is the average score on an intelligence test and 115 is one Standard Deviation from the mean score of 100 (i.e. unless I have forgotten my stats about 75% of people in theory have an IQ between 85 and 115).
Whether there is such a thing as general intelligence that the tests measure is another matter.

Also i would never EVER believe a balls *** IQ test. It means nothing.
I have met people with "alleged" IQs of 150+, who might know the capital of Prussia, but dont know how the f*ck to live life, like tying up shoelace or how to spend money without going bankrupt. And i would consider the latter a little more important, since it will after all be the difference between living life succesfully or not.
Also, let me ask you this:
If you did an IQ test 5 times and your IQ score got higer each time, would that show that you are getting more intelligent, or is it just that you are remembering more of the answers?
