It's just a self introduction speech? For what kind of event? I generally start with my name, and play down my accomplishments..."Hi, my name is _______, I have to say it's great to see everyone here. You know, when I first started trying to write this speech, I wasn't sure what to say. I figured you'd want to get to know me (pause) but I'm sure any of you would have an easier time doing this than me..." then come in with some sort of funny anecdote. It's hard to help you write a speech when I have no idea what it's for. If you want e-mail me, I'm actually a decent writer. Give me some details and I can definetly help you.
