me and my boyfriend spend a lot of money.. we dine out everday.. we both wear brand name clothes a lot..and spend a lot of money on junk.. well he is always use to spoiling me and buy me expensive things..and the other week he promised me he would buy me these shoes i wanted..so the day came and he didnt buy it for me. so i got kinda disapointed..and then i told him..and then we went to go buy it but after that he started yelling at me .. "Im not going to buy you anything for a long time.. this isnt cheap..you know im barely makign any money and you make me buy you stuff..blalh blah".. i felt really bad and wanted to return them..i mean..hes never like this and im not a gold digger..but isnt that kinda over board..well we talked about it.. and were both going to stop spending a lot of money cuz we dont make a lot any more..but wasnt that kinda overboard.. it made me see his cheap side..but also like.. when you buy something for someone you want to make them feel happy righT?..

Cheap? that wasn't his cheap side, that was his grown up side! Before that you were both being immature and irresponsible! When the bills stop being paid it gets kind of scary and you should have known that but you complained to him about shoes that he can't afford anyway, you made him feel like he wasn't doing enough for you, like he wasn't good enough and you did this to someone who tries so hard to give you whatever you want....come on I'll bet the last thing you needed was another pair of shoes. You are only looking at one (greedy) side of this thing, think about how you made him feel! To me it sounds like he tries to give you everything you want, but it NEVER gets to a point where it enough, where you don't want more, more, more and honey that is the definition of a gold digger!! What you buy or don't buy should be about what you can afford, not what you WANT, thats the way a teenager sees the world gimme, gimme, gimme. Sounds like your bf is trying to grow up, and you need to be more appreciative of what you do have, anybody would snap under that kind of pressure and probably the only thing he did wrong was not snapping a long time ago! Get yourself a book called All Your Worth by Elizabeth Warren and Amelia Warren Tyagi, its about money and how to manage it but its written for regular people, not financial wizards, it will give you a lot of help in budgeting and saving and figuring out exactly what you can afford to spend where. Have you ever asked him to buy you something, or has he done it by himself? If you want your relationship to work out, I wouldn't ask him to buy you anything, because you want him to spoil and love you on his own accord. If he ever promises to buy you something and doesn't it's just best to leave it that way, and don't press it. You might come across to him as being selfish, even if you aren't. If things like this continue to happen, it seems to be an indication that your relationship is going down hill. Do something special for him, or apologize to him, if you have ever made him feel on the spot to buy you something, or have appeared selfish to him. It would probably help!
P.S. Maybe you should invite him over at your house, and dine there together. He would prob. feel more relaxed and comfortable. Maybe he would even tell you the way he feels about your relationship with him. Give it a shot.

Honestly, no offense or anything, but I think you sound kind of selfish and he sounds kind of blunt... he should have told you that he couldnt buy the shoes, but when he didnt buy the shoes you probably shoudl have just not said anything and figured that he would have gotten them for you as a present for a special occasion

If you measure love by the amount of money spent or the gifts that he buys you then, your love will only last as long as the money does. Value the relationship more than material things and you will be much happier.

i imagine you recognize the answer. men love the chase. do not EVER chase men! you'll lose all of them too speedy! in case you desire him to no longer take you with no interest, disappear even longer this time. Get busy with different activities outdoors of him. enable him chase you and once you're taking him back, provide up each and each of the texting and calling and so on. that's with a purpose to save dropping him.
