no, actually it's good...it's better to lay on ur left side. they even get u to do this while in labor. don't worry about it...u will not hurt ur baby!
but, ask your dr. or nurse to make you feel better! if u ever have concerns, u should always ask them.

No, sleeping on your side can not hurt your baby. When I was pregnant that was the only way I could sleep. And my baby would start kicking a lot too. Babies just love to move around when mommy is still. So don't worry and get all the sleep you can, you need it.

You're supposed to sleep on your side...more specifically your left side. Sleeping on your stomach is out for the obvious reasons - there's something in the way. Sleeping on your back isn't recommended because it can slow the circulation of a major vein leading to the lower half of your body, press on your sciatic nerves, and as you get larger put pressure on your diaphragm making it harder to breathe deeply. Sleeping on your right side can help your stomach empty cutting down on nighttime heartburn, but it puts the weight of the baby on your liver and somewhat on that major vein (which runs along the right side of the spine). Because I'm a back sleeper it hurts my shoulders to sleep on my side so I have to switch sides several times a night, but I try to sleep mostly on my left side. Every time I switch the baby has to rearrange and get resettled. That's normal. Don't worry that you are hurting your baby. You're doing what's best. You might want to support your belly with a little pillow. That might cut down on his kicking.

You are suppose to sleep on your side when you are pregnant. Your baby kicking you is normal because when you walk around during the day, the baby is rocked to sleep by your movement and when you sleep, most babies become very active.

Sleeping on your left side is the preferred sleeping method. Dont sleep on your back after your 20th week of pregnancy cause it could harm your baby by restricting blood flow to it. It wont hurt your baby to sleep on your side.

Just turn over & try the other side.
The kick when they are awake, & boys seem to kick more than girls (unofficial, don't take as gospel!)
The baby is in a sac of water, unless you compress your belly, that will actually hurt you more than the baby, you will be fine.
Just make yourself a comfortable & calm as you can & the baby will calm down. In a few more weeks you will be limited even more. Be comfortable while you can!

it's actually recommended to sleep on your side, as opposed to your back or stomach.
I know how you feel, when I turn on my side, it seems like the baby starts kicking my ribs that are facing downwards. There is so much "cushion" from the amniotic fluid though, you won't squich the baby or anything like that. chances are, you're just feeling all the kicks more because you aren't moving around. :-)

sleeping on your side is the best position . . make it your left side to keep weight off of the main artery supplying the blood to the baby . . sleeping on your stomach is the most uncomfortable unless you are propped with pillows . . . sleeping on your back isn't recommended . . . DON'T be alarmed if you wake up in a position you didn't fall asleep in . . . if you are uncomfortable, you will move in your sleep . . remember, your baby is well protected in the womb so don't fret . . . go with the left side sleeping

No it will not hurt your baby, but maybe your baby wants more room on that side, try sleeping on your other side?

It's perfectly safe. All the baby is telling you is that "Hey mom!, I'm squished!" I had to roll over and sometimes move onto my other side. It all really depends on how your baby is laying. The last month is the worst it seems. You can't get comfortable no matter what!...=)

At 29 wks you can sleep on your back or side it's when your baby gets heavier that you need to lay on your side.
These sites are great for pregnancy.
