Because they value their input on things, and they correctly recognize that two heads are better than one. If you're going to solicit input from someone, it's good to have confidence that their input will be valuable, factually accurate and well-conceived. Plus, intelligent wives have intelligent children...that's no small consideration, either. Lastly, smart women who temper their intelligence with compassion and dedication are truly beautiful. That's my warm-fuzzy thought for the day.

Smart men marry smart women. There is no way you can hold an intelligent conversation with a wide disparity in intelligence levels. As we all know sex lasts a half hour every couple days but for marriage it takes conversation a lot more frequently than that.

Because smart women are generally more rational - which means that we're easier for men to understand, since we make most of our decisions with our minds, not our emotions. Too many women out there seem to expect their man to be psychic. Not only is he supposed to know why his woman is angry, but he's also supposed to know exactly how to fix it. A smart woman, however, usually realizes her man isn't omnipotent, and will tell him what's wrong, and how it should be fixed. Besides, most men know that beauty is fleeting, whereas intelligence only gets better with age.
