Let me get this straight...Your husband was asleep and they beat him like in Full Metal Jacket? I really don't think there is a lot you can do in this situation. Suck it up I guess and move on.

Yeah, it happens all the time. For example, historically... Vietnam vets were spat on all the time by American citizens... Iraq war veterans are accused of all sorts of violence and still called "baby killers" by so-called "Americans" on a daily basis.... Some people are just pieces of sh*t and don't deserve to BE Americans.

It's called "friendly fire', and supposedly happens by mistake. Could be the person was in the wrong place at the wrong time or it was night maneuvers.
