Earned income credit is BS. my mother knows these girls that have a bunch of kids and they get government assistance and dont want to work, so what they do is get a job long enough to qualify for earned income credit, so they get way more back than they would have paid in. Thats messed up.

Exactly the same. Welfare and Income Credits are transfer payments directly to entities that are or are legally treated like individuals.
The reason that conservatives hate welfare or General Welfare is because they assume that they, the cooporation or individual have earned the money and Welfare recipients have not earned it. But, of course they are wrong.
If daddy gave you the money or a piece of the income off of something he earned, that is not earned money, the money, for the one that inherited or was gifted the money, is not earning the money. So, when you straighten that incorrect assumption up, then the answer to the question changes.
Also, the idea of, Free government money that the asker assumes, is not free at all. Someone who actually works for a living has paid that money out of his or her income. There is no such thing as Free money.
Now, government finds all kinds of ways to transfer money into the hands of private and public servants. How about we pass a law that prohibits all transfer payment for any reason. Let see who is crying at the front door the loudest now that this is law.
My bet is that general publics screams would be like church music compared to rich coorporation's screams or even small business owner's screams.
You really have to call the conservative's bluff all the time because most of what they do is not popular with the people when the people are actually aware of what is going on.
Most of those, "pull yourself up by the boot strap types," are anything but indepentent operators or individuals. It is their mommy that is doing the pulling. It is the kids who try and hide their own history.

No...Earned Income Credit is given to families who have worked their asses off to provide for their family, but just didn't make enough money to satisfy the government.

It's for the working poor. They deserve something for trying to work and survive, not living off the Welfare system daily. Give them a break!

Earned income credit is a credit that you apply for on your tax return - I am not sure exactly what you are asking and what information you needed!@

Not if white people take advantage of it... in fact welfare isn't welfare when white people are on it... it magically becomes something else so that the bigots can blame it on the blacks when statistically there are more white people on welfare than there are black people in the country....
