Do you find that you have more respect for the guy picking up your trash or people who do other "dirty" but necessary jobs?

Oh, absolutely. You get to see how hard they work and how horrible their work environment is, so you can't help but have respect for them. God Bless the working man!!!

I don't know about more respect, I definately don't have less respect though. I never disrespect those individuals. I do, after watching Dirty Jobs, understand better what goes into certain jobs. I love that show, I learn so much, and see some interesting occupations! I can't wait for the new show each week!

I think the host makes the show! Mike is very funny. (No, I'm not Mike.) You never really think about all the crazy jobs in the world. There are some even more disgusting, though, that they can't show on TV.

Yes, but sometimes I think they overexaggerate the job a bit.

i watch it I have not found that it gave me a greater respect for anyone though.
