Opposite charges attract, and like charges repel. But I don't quite understand your question about electric currents causing attraction or repulsion, since you were vague about what is contacting the electric current, and what is being attracted or repelled.

I'm not sure I follow you.
If you have a collection of charges, like charges will repel and opposite charges will attract according to the formula f = kq[1]q[2]/d^2 where k is a constant, q[1] and q[2] are charges and d is the distance between them.
Now, a moving current will produce a magnetic field. If you grab a wire with your right hand with a current moving in the direction of your thumb, then your curled fingers show the direction of the magnetic field. If you wrap that wire in a coil and use the same 'right hand' rule, when you reach for the wire, your fingers will curl in the 'North' direction of the magnetic field created by the coil.
So, depending upon what your question really was, you can get an electric attraction/repulsion or a magnetic attraction/repulsion depending upon either the accumulation of charge or the direction of the travel of the charge.

There has been already experiment in class as well as in antiquity where it was discovered that certain material rubbed on different material cause attraction .
This attraction based on Ben Franklin (the father of electricity)theory on electricity was called ether positive or negative charge.
Materials which have lack of electron attract those which have excess.
Those that repel each other have both excess electrons.
That means if they have too much they dont want any more =Hence repulsion.
Its like eating if you ate to much and your mother wants to feed you more you are repulsing the extra food.
Its very simple.
It is not recomended that you experiment in making contact with an electric current.The electric Current would
penetrate you body even in the order of 100 milliamps it will stop your heart.
At certain voltages upon contact of an electrical conductor will cause contraction of muscles in your hands and you will not be
able to let go. the rest is history.

Contact with electric current causes our muscles to contract, because this is the way they reacts at nervious impulses, so all depends how it takes the electricity to contact our body. If we close an electric circuit touching an iron pipe closing one hand over it this will cause the hand muscles to close (attracts). If we touch with the opposite site the hand would close on the air (repels).

Are you talking about a human physiological effect? It depends to which muscles the most current passes through. Each joint has one muscle to move the joint one way, and a different muscle to move it in the opposite direction.
Any muscle that has a large enough current in it will contract. So a hand or body will either pull into a shocking surface or away from it depending on how and where the current passes through the body.

electric current has magnetic field associated wid it.the direction of mab.field depends on the direction in which current is flowing.anything placed in this field will be attracted or have repulsive force acc to flemings left hand rule.
