Like JiffyLube, Mobil, etc? Or are they insufficient to good car care?

My car is a 2004 Toyota Camry in excellent condition

No, never. They are trained to change the oil in less than 10 minutes ( I know, I worked there) and that is not sufficient time for the old oil to drain out of a hot engine. Best was it to take it to someone that will take the time to do it right. Chain places make too many mistakes by rushing.

With a new car like that I would stick with the dealer. There mechanics are going to be trained properly in the care of your automobile.
Some of these chain places don`t use trained labor. You could end up with the wrong oil filter that lets all your oil drip out in 500 miles. A ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Good luck.

chain places are fine. Find one that does good work, if you are not satisfied find a new place until one works for you. I have a collector car that I change the oil on myself but my other two cars I take to quick change places becuase it's easier. Just make sure to keep all reciepts and paperwork.

I am old school with it. I change my own oil. I guess it is a car(and motorcycle) thing. I have a 06 Camry and two motorcycles.

Change my own oil, and do most all repairs myself. The mechanics in chain shops don't get paid enough to do oil changes on hot engines, have a heart, do it yourself.

for just a quick oil change, they are all about the same.
Look for the coupons in the ValPack or sunday papers.
You should never pay more than $15.

i'd say go to the dealer for a new car. they dont charge that much, only about $20 for a 4 cylinder and they know exactly what your car needs.
