I Googled! This is the answer I found:

1. Mix 1 teaspoon clear, mild liquid dishwashing detergent with 1 (one) cup lukewarm water.

2. Sponge the area with the detergent solution. Blot again with a clean, white cloth.

3. Mix 1/3 cup white vinegar with 2/3 cup lukwarm water.

4. Sponge the area with the vinegar solution. Blot with a clean, white cloth.

5. Sponge the area with clean water. Blot with a clean, white cloth.

Tip: A clean, white cloth ensures that dyes from the cloth won't run into the carpet.

Warnings:
Avoid rubbing or scrubbing - this will cause the stain to spread.

Try the carpet stain removers and follow the directions. You could also try steaming the carpet to remove the stain. If it still doesn't come out, yes, do the rugs.

Try Stainz R Ou clean it up, It worked for me. If that doesn't work than a small rug w/ a small coffee table on top will look nice.
