I was wondering how people get jobs as public executioners. What kind of resume do you have to have to do lethal injection? Do you get promoted or what? Hit me back with some good answers please.

Can't imagine who would want to volunteer for such a horrific job. But I believe based on Sister Helen Prejean's book "Dead Man Walking" - that they are chosen from amongst prison guards who volunteer. In the case of lethal injection - some systems have three people press a button so no one person knows if they themselves delivered the lethal dose. Shares the load of guilt I guess.
I am somewhat against the death penalty because law enforcement makes mistakes and the thought of anyone going to death unjustly is aweful. On the flipside I do see a benefit in the death penalty in that some killers give up the locations of their victims in exchange for saving their hide. At least that gives their family some peace.

I believe governmental executioners are now required to have a medical background. You have to be able to calculate, verify and administer appropriate dosages, and be familiar with vital signs and their absence. I believe that executioners are usually chosen from the ranks of existing employees in medical fields (medical examiners, coroners, rehabilition workers, etc) and are not generally hired off the street. In a civilized society, one would hope there would not be enough executions scheduled to keep someone occupied full time as an executioner.

Prison medical practitioners. Some people might consider your local Vet to be an executioner. Thousands of animals are put down (to sleep) every day in clinics across America, but unfortunately, the only crime those animals commited was being born without someone wanting them........now thats a crime.

I believe they are wardens of the jail. Become a cop and get assigned to a prison.
