I dont believe them, I just heard some of them were funny/outrageous. What are some of them please>

My mother took a piece of string and a sewing needle and rubbed it against my wrist. The needle moved in a back and forth direction and that meant a boy. It has been right both times so far. Freaked me out. If it were to move in a circle that would mean its a girl. I have also heard if your urine is a really dull yellow its a boy (never bothered to try that one) and if its really bright yellow its a girl.
I have also heard that while your pregnant if you enjoy eating the heel off a loaf of bread that you are having a boy and opposite if you are having a girl.
Yeah i have heard lots of strange ones.
But the strangest on i heard is you take drano and a cup of urine (dont do this before 12 weeks) and you pour the urine in the drano AND STAND BACK. (the drano can make some really funky fumes) If it bubbles over the edge its a boy...if it only bubbles half way its a girl. I would not suggest any woman do this because it can be very dangerous.

a portuguese tale is that if you have the pregnancy glow you are having a boy and if you look kinda pale then you are having a girl. This is because if you are having a girl, she is stealing your beauty therefore making you look pale and washed out.
An indian tale is for the sex of the child after you already have a kid, ex: 2nd baby, 3rd Baby, etc. Look at your child's head if the cowlick is clockwise your second child will be a boy and it it's counterclockwise then you are having a girl.

If you carry high its a boy; if you carry low it's a girl or vice versa.
Extra weight out front means a girl; weight around the hips and bottom indicates a boy.
If your nipples are dark it's a boy.
If the fetal heart rate is under 140 beats per minute (BPM), it's a boy.
Take a pregnant woman's urine and mix it with drano to tell the sex of the baby.

* that if tote most of the pregnancy weight during pregnancy in the front of your stomach that you are going to have a boy
* that if tote most of the pregnancy weight during pregnancy all over your stomach including the hips that you are going to have a girl
* (according to what a woman said on that was expecting on the tv show called "a baby story" on tlc) if while pregnant you pee in a cup of liquid draino and the draino fizzes/bubbles that it's a boy and if it doesn't fizz/bubble that it's going to be a girl

Well I have been told that if your stomach is growing more towards the bottom, which is kinda dropped that its going to be a boy and when your stomach starts growing more from the top that its going to be a girl, but who knows, thats just what I have been told.

2 old wives' tales that were applicable to me:
1. if your complexion is better (clear/bright/pretty), it's a girl because of the surge in female hormones (estrogen, progestrone); and
2. if your bump is rounder rather than pointy (which you can't really tell until later in your pregnancy), it's a girl.

Ok- this one is outrageous and my friend's sister tried it.
Pee in a cup (I know, weird)
Add draino crystals to it.
If it turns blue, it's a boy. If it turns brownish- it's a girl.
My friend's sister did it and it turned blue...She had a girl. So, it doesn't work...

Some of them do get wacky, like the wedding ring one: if you hold a wedding ring on a string over your belly, it should either rotate in a circle or swing like a pendulum... mine just stayed still haa haa haa

big butt means a girl!!! my first was a boy and i am preg again i thought for sure it was going to be a girl because my butt is huge lol..but im having another boy soo dont listen to the tales :) congrats

I did this test on the net and it was true 4 me! I have a little girl, which it predicted, but I'm sure you right!
