My advice would be to ignore those who comment on your writing rather than answering the question. There will always be people who like to find things to criticize. Pay no attention.

While it's true that there is an unfortunate culture of rudeness that has grown up around the Internet, it is possible that maybe people are trying to help. After all, if the question is clearly written then it is possible to get a clearer answer.
As far as English not being the mother tongue of many people, that's true, but often people (including me), make mistakes even in their mother tongue. I think it would be very helpful if people made it a practice of doing two things: using the spell checker and proof-reading what they have written.

People who were born and raised in America are proud of their language and their heritage. They do not like seeing their language destroyed by some who will not use it correctly.

If they person being corrected is a native American, they should have learned (in school) the correct way to compose a sentence. If the person being corrected is an ESL person, it will do them no harm to look at the corrections that are presented. It will improve their communication skills (in English) if they really try to correct the mistakes that are pointed out to them.

I am not a teacher, but I was born in this country, & learned the language.
I have a problem with youngsters who are on this forum & can't spell, & people who live in this country & can't bother to learn the language.
When I traveled to France, Germany & Switzerland, Belgium & Iceland, I learned some of the languages just to be able to get by!
If you live in the US, you should be able to speak the language.
I don't ask much else of the people who move here. My grandparents did, & got productive jobs.

Don't let them get to you. There are always going to be people who pick on others. It's only their own insecurities shining through! I'm sure many of those picking on you cannot speak your native tongue. (Probably none of them could!) Have a great day!

You're asking WHY people correct people on the internet who can't spell? Try this: BECAUSE THEY CAN'T SPELL!!! NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND???

And what's a teatcher? Is that someone who milks cows for a living? See? You're an idiot. You spell like an idiot, you whine like an idiot, you make up excuses like an idiot. Take your sorry carcass back to the desert, Habib.

There is a spell check to use and you should use it. Yes, some people are impolite, but often: it is extremely difficult to read the question.

don't worry, I have seen so many Americans and British semi-literate people who speak and write English in the wrong way.
