Definitely go with the more expensive metal hoses with the large rubber sloped washers inside. The cheap rubber hoses with the small flat rubber washers can be difficult to seal, especially on rusty connections. Clean off the faucets as well as possible so that the new connectors will screw on more easily. The metal hoses with the big washers will usually seal just by hand tightening assuming your faucets aren't too corroded but to be safe you can give them a little extra turn with a pair of channel locks. Be careful not to over tighten or it can leak. Also be careful not to squish the ends when you tighten them or they can leak.
Once you put them on, dry everything off and let it sit for a while and come back and check for any leaking. If there is a little leaking just tighten a bit more.
I bought a pair of these while remodeling the laundry area. I had to keep pulling the washer and dryer in and out so we could still do laundry while I was building the laundry closet. It was great to be able to just take them on and off without a tool.

This is fairly easy to do. First buy the new hoses. One will be for hot water the other for cold, but they should be marked. turn off the water to the hoses. there should be a faucet at the washer, one for hot water the other for the cold. The hoses unscrew like a garden hose. If stuck get a pair of large pliers or channel locks to gain enough leverage to remove. Where they attach to the washer be careful not to apply to much force as the fittings are plastic and could crack or break. Once done turn the water back on and check for leaks. If any try to tighten to stop. If still leaking turn the water off. Good luck,

Be careful when you disconnect the end that is attached to the water pipe in your wall. If you twist the wall connection, while trying to rotate the hose connection, you could accidently break the valve off the wall. You can avoid this by using two wrenches....one on the hose coupling and one on the water valve to counter the twising motion.

Very easy to replace, they'll show you how at lowes. Also, shut water off to washer when not using, you can be gone or sleeping when the hose finally does decide to burst and you'd be left with a flood.

Not hard at all, they just unscrew.
On the w/m end leave it on loose and turn on the water tap then tighten to elimanate air otherwise it may cause an air lock and the w/m wont work.
They are made of plastic so dont squeeze too hard with the grips to undo and on doing up dont go too hard.

iaf you can connect a garden hose, you can change washing machine hoses. Just make sure they go the the proper faucet, and they are tightened properly.

No they are not hard to connect. Just make sure you have the hose clamps on tight or you will have water spraying everywhere.

Easy to replace, screw off and on. BUT! go with metal hoses not rubber. Rubber can wear and break, and we can guess what that costs. Go with metal, spend the extra few dollars
