Your answers will vary depending on who answers them....As a mother of 3 and very involved in school I have seen every extreme when it comes to homework. Personally I think it should be given Monday through Thursday. However, I have begun to appreciate my children doing weekend homework. Homework is supposed to be a refresher in what the child learned that day. Yes sometimes it can be inclusive of a topic that they are currently covering. Many children need the reinforcement of homework to get a better understanding of the work, and to sharpen their skills. I try to have my kids think of homework in a way that they can relate. Just look at the number of students in your class grade. That is 1 school now why would an employer hire you if you only did enough to get by each day when they could hire someone else who really applies them-self and tries to improve. for the same amount of money. An education will take you where ever you want to go and it is the one thing in life that no one else can take away from you!

Homework, especially at the college level, will be preparatory for the real work world outside of academia. If you are going into some professional career, you had better get used to doing "homework", especially in some office job, i.e. financial, law, medical etc.

Not at all. If anything, they do not give enough, especially in mathematics and sciences. Americans middle and high school students are undereducated compared to many of their peers around the world. It is quite sad.
