Is Superman the best superhero ever or what?

Think about it! He can do everything, fly, see through stuff, do the hot eyes thing, the icy breath thing, survive in space and even reverse time. He's hot too, all the actors who've played him have all been gorgeous. I wouldn't do Spiderman that's for sure! He can't lie either, in fact he's the perfect man. Oh why oh why can't you be real? The swine!

I totally agree. I thought Christopher Reeves would be too big a challenge to follow, but the latest Superman was brilliant.

Good looking, kind, charming and with super powers. Do you reckon he'd do the housework too?

He's ok but not da best thats like sayin every super hero in comics if its DC, Marvel, Image, Top Cow or whateva anime is takin up space. Not hatin on Superman but will everybody remember with all dat power comes a greater or should I say in his case a gay weakness Kryptonite, magic, and some others not mentioned. So to say he's da best to have a weakness like this to be made up by evryone to be all mighty not so strong to me remember he got killed by Doomsday only why he was brought back cuz of da fans how lame in comics ya dies but get brought back and be da same not even evolve or have better powers. Batman should be da coolest of all hero or villians because here is da best argument no one can dispute even Superman die hards he has no powers nothing but vegence and make da world better no matter da cost ya want see that in Superman he's to nice but he is powerful. No disrespect there are powerful heros and villians besides Superman ya just choose to not explore and see who, heres a few ex. the Phoenix(Jean Grey) of X-men, da Beyonder, Silver Sulfer and more some have cosmic powers, powers to control da elements even some to eliminate Superman power base da sun just change da ray to red he's human.

Yeah, Supes can do just about anything - even Super Ventriloquism - in part thanks to writers under Deadline Doom trying to come up with something new.

The latest version of The Big Red S by Kurt Busiek and Geoff Johns gives him a Super Brain. Guess that's better than Super Sneeze power.

I always thought Superman was boring. Too clean-cut and quite frankly, too powerful. I used to read those comics as a kid, and I always liked Spidey. The jokes when he's battering the baddies are something Superman never did. Plus all the problems he had on a daily basis juggling his superhero life and his normal life meant that you could identify with him on different levels-something you could never do with Superman I felt.

I'm a straight man so I couldn't possibly comment on your sexual feelings for Superman however ;-)

I like Superman, although Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern are arguably more powerful. I am looking forward to all those new DC films coming out. Green Lantern will be one of them, but why Plastic Man?

Mario is clearly the best superhero ever because he can respawn for unlimited attempts at doing whatever he is wanting to do. No weaknesses, great jumping abilities and a funny voice make Mario clearly the best hero ever.

I saw the recent Superman Returns and thought
it was awful, no plot, rubbish acting, the original was better,

Well, he's not the best superhero ever, so he must be "what".

It depends on exactly what you mean by "best". He's certainly the strongest and most powerful, and therefore the most efficient and productive superhero, but personally, I think he is too "perfect", and that perfection, in my opinion, is his only flaw.

Personally i think he is one of the worst because if not for kyrtonite he would have no weakness so then he would just be an invincible flying brick pretty much. But even with kyrtonite as it doesn't even come from Earth, eventually it would run out and then he would be like i said an invincible flying brick!
