I love them both deeply, but in different ways. I love my husband because he's the father of my children, my best friend and the one who's seen me for better and worse --- I love my child because he's part of me, he's my greatest prayer, pride and joy. If forced to choose, of course I'd choose my child, but hopefully I get to enjoy them and love them both deeply --although differently -- for the rest of my life. Also, there will be a day my son will move on and marry and have his own life -- me and my husband will be together through the old years....gotta have someone to wipe my drool. :)

I don't have any children and I'm not married, but I know I will love them more than I love myself.

Yes, because your children are you children forever, spouses can come and go, depending on how great your marriage is.

i think most parents love their kids more than their spouse.
but that is not what god intended. Spouses are supposed to put each other first (after God) and then raise their children in a christian atmosphere.
but there is that old sayng..."blood is thicker than water"
