A^2 + B^2 = C^2
So it's pretty straight forward from here, no?

Okay.
a^2 + b^2 = c^2
In this formula, "a" equals the length of one leg, "b" equals the length of the other, and "c" equals the length of the hypotenuse.
So, you know the two legs, so plug them in.
3^2 + 6^2 = c^2
9 + 36 = c^2
45 = c^2
â45 = c
â(9 * 5) = c
3â5 = c
Or, to say it in centimeters...
6.708 cm

If I remember right a squared plus b squared = c squared
which means 9 + 36 = 45
take the root of 45 which is 6.7
or about 7 cm.

a = leg that is 3 cm
b = leg that is 6 cm
h = hypotenuse
a^2 + b^2 = h^2
9 + 36 = h^2
45 = h^2
h = the square root of 45 or approx 6.70820393249 cm

Pythagore says :
D²=3²+6²
so D²-9+36 = 45
so D = sqrt(45) = 3 sqrt(5) cm ~ 6.71 cm
