If your hubby has a sweet tooth, see if the bakery that made your cake can recreate just a small, top-tier cake for the two of you....and then cook a dinner similar to what was served at your reception and cuddle up together afterwards to look through your album or watch the video together. :-)

Get a picnic blanket/and basket...make simple things and a nice bottle wine,,,maybe some candles...and have an indoor picnic..Our 5th year is around the corner..and that's what I'm planning..that and having his favorite music in the background...As for a gift...we can't spend alot...but I make him a romantic meal and offer that as a gift...it's something I know he will love! Maybe make handmade coupons...with Good for one hour foot rub...Good for having the remote control all night! THings like that...

Congratulations! Tie a big ribbon around yourself with nothing else on and be waiting for him when he gets home from work. Make sure the kids are gone for the night, have a nice dinner in the oven, soft music, candles, and just enjoy each others company!

Plan a picnic at the beach or park. My husband likes it best when I go way out and not spend much money! Make him a card and look up the perfect poem to go in it. Make him his favorite meal, plan a camping trip with just the 2 of you. Turn on some music and grap his arms and make him dance with you.

Go to a nice restaurant, get a room at a nice hotel (not motel). Re-live your wedding night for a whole weekend.
As for gifts, get him something he will never forget...you in some very slinky lingerie (maybe even pictures).
Or...go to the place were he proposed to you and have a romantic meal.

being on a budget and having three kids in the last five years, we kept it simple by going to dinner by ourselves without the kids . . that was wonderful in itself!!!!!!
