I think you are probably right as far as sprinters go; though I don't think it's fair to say "all" athletes take drugs. Linford Christie was always suspected of taking drugs and indeed tested positive for steroids later in his career. Many people thought Carl Lewis was doping, though he was never caught. I believe that Ben Johnson was the best of a bad bunch - so to speak. If everyone else is cheating then taking drugs becomes a way of competing on an equal playing field; sad.

Looking4help is right. Ben Johnson was (1) on steroids, and (2) a flash in the pan. Carl Lewis was both clean, and performed over almost a full decade.

I think carl lewis was the greatest, and I agree they all take drugs but not all take performance enhancing drugs, Ben Johnson was a product of steroids you can not give him the title of greatest sprinter because he cheated.

Come on they were all on it (including Carl Lewis he just never got caught) considering they haven't run that fast until now 18yrs later and the chemistry is surely a lot better now.

He was a cheat! Everyone should compete on a level playing field - taking stimulant drugs gives an unfair advantage.
