Doesn't it show that he is a real man, and a hero, who will not take anyone's crap? For me, it makes him even more legendary, because he stood up for what is right by not letting some foul-mouthed bastard get away with insulting him.

Juventina: You honestly thought he was just going to let your disgraceful plague Materazzi call his sister and mother words I won't repeat, and just get away with that? Why is it always the one who defends himself that people blame, and not the one who provoked him to it by spewing crap from his slimy, filthy mouth?

Frenchman: France almost won anyway, it was just very bad luck that Trezeguet missed by a few centimeters! They really deserved to win, they outplayed Italy the entire game, and because they are such an honourable team, but like Trezeguet said: c'est la vie...

FLAVIA: CAN YOU BE MORE IGNORANT? MAYBE THIS IS WHY YOU LIKE MATERAZZI, BECAUSE YOU ARE JUST LIKE HIM!!!!

ZIZNEDINE ZIDANE HAD A CONTRACT WITH ADIDAS FOR MILLIONS TO LEAVE HIS GOLDEN BOOTS IN THE CENTER OF THE FIELD AFTER THE END OF HIS LAST GAME-THE FINAL..
HUNDRENDS OF CAMERAS WERE SUPPOSED TO ZOOM ON HIM DOING THAT AND THAT SPOT ON THE GROUND WERE THE SHOES WERE TO BE DISPLAYED. THE IMAGES OF THE ADIDAS BOOTS AND THE LOGO WOULD BE SEEN ALL OVER THE WORLD BY MILLIONS..
-----------------------------
ZINEDINE HAD FOUND OUT A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE THE FINAL TAHT HIS MOM IS SICK WITH CANCER. HE WAS DEVOSTATED AND HE AND HIS MOM ARE KNOWN TO BE VERY CLOSE..
----------------------------
ZINEDINE HAD RETURNED FROM INTERNATIONAL RETIREMENT, JUST TO HELP US, FRANCE, ADVANCE TO THE WC FINALS AS WE WERE FAILING TO DO SO WITHOUT HIM. HE WAS AN AMAZING LEADER IN THE FINALS, BEAT SPAIN AND BRAZIL PRACTICALLY BY HIMSELF, AND SCORED ALSO IN THE FINAL AN AMAZING PENALTY THAT ONLY PALYERS WITH B$$@^S CAN TAKE.. COOLNESS PERSONIFIED!!!
-----------------
HE WAS ONE STEP FROM TAKING THE TROPHY HOME
-----------------
ZINEDINE WAS THE MAN THAT BLEW ALL OF IT UP FOR THE SHAKE OF HONOR.
IT IS NOT THAT HE PLANNED TO DO IT. IT WAS HIS PRIMAL INSTICT TO ACT AS MAN CAUSE*****
***** HE IS AS TRUE OF A MAN AS A MAN CAN BE*****

I wouldn't say i admire him for doing that. As a football fan, I don't agree with any kind of violence on the field. But, although I'm not the biggest Zidane fan out there, I know a bit about the kind of player he is. And I was sure he had some good reasons for doing what he did that day. He must have been really hurt. So, no, he didn't become my hero for headbutting Materazzi, but I understand why he did it and I don't condemn him for that.

Enough! with the Zidane postings.
Ever since the infamous "head butt" he seems to have become a hero to many. Aren't there more important things in this world to worry about than, "what is Zidane wearing today?" and "don't you find Zidane sexy?"
The guy is a (sometimes) bald-headed jerk and he proved it on world-wide television. Let it go, it's over and done with.
Trash talk goes on on sports fields all the time, no reason for any player to turn that physically abusive...it just shows how violent and angry a person Zidane really is.
No more "Zidane" talk, please....thank God he won't be back.
Now, finish your milk, and go to bed...the lot of you.

Zidane is a good player.
But, he should have controlled his feelings for his NATION.
Remember, it was the final of the world cup.
But anyway, this headbutt incident has made his illustrious career more & more memorable.
I do admire Zidane ; but what is the big meaning in calling Materazzi a foul-mouthed bastard?
It is all a game....why do you call these players such names?

first off its sad for him to end his career that way. im Italian and support Italy 100% but i do think that materazzi went a bit to far...zidane should have done something a little less physical. But i do agree zidane did do the right thing to back up his family

i dont because he should know that whatever is said on the field is trash talking. its one thing if he was in the street saying it and its another thing when hes doing it to try and get a reaction out of you and zidane should have known that. hes been playing for to long. but its not like he hasnt done it before. the dude needs anger management, he gets pissed off too easily.

What a load of horsesh*t. Players use that kind of talk all the time on the field, but I guess Zidane lost it due to the tremendous pressure to win (what could he really do when France is a one-man player, huh?), the injured shoulder and his ungranted wish to be substituted....it was too much for your real man, your hero....he just crashed.

People talk crap to each other in soccer games. Get over it. He was just coming up with excuses. Seriously, this Zidane thing is really old.

a man is not someone who slams someone down for saying something nasty about their mamma. this is a boy with no control.
a man would stand up, play for his country, display the behavior of a man who can not be so easily rattled by such comments....................
and then he would make sure he can stay on the field so he can help his team kick their butts and win!!!!!
