Try Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. It's about vampires, and the sequel comes out in a few weeks.

Harry Potter, R.L. Stine (fear street...I find that the saga that began with the Betrayel was the best of the bunch...also the longest and hardest to find all the books...I'm 20, read it years ago...and I'm still on a hunt for the missing books!), Piers Anthony, Christopher Paolini (Eragon and Eldest...kind of like Lord of the Rings but a much easier and much more fun experience to read). I hate that saying "don't judge a book by its cover" because I tend to walk through book sections and pick up the books that catch my eye, either by title or cover. Just wonder around a book store. Ya can't go wrong!!

Although these are not supernatural, they're teen books and I really enjoyed reading every single one of them:
-Angus, Thongs, And Full-Frontal Snogging
-On The Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend Of A Sex-God
-Knocked Out By My Nunga-Nungas
-Dancing In My Nuddy-Pants
-Away Laughing On A Fast Camel
-Then He Ate My Boy Entrancers
-Startled By His Furry Shorts

The author is Louise Rennison, and the books are really funny...I really loved them and can't wait for the 8th book to come out...

You should read "Night Calls" by Katharine Eliska Kimbriel.

From the back cover:

"I wasn't eager to learn the Wise Arts.I was just a girl, more interested in running wild with my brothers than developing what my mother called the Gift.

Then the werewolves came, shattering the peaceful nights in our village of Sun Return. They took five of ours -- including two babies and my big brother Dolph, before my parents agreed to give me up. They called in Cousin Cory, Aunt Marta, all the known practitioners. The ones who could teach me how to hide in a leaf, "dip" into minds and find the secret herbs that heal.

My childhood was over. It was my turn to straddle the worlds and face the Dark on the other side.... "

The sequel is called "Kindred Rights".

I'd suggest Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause which is about werewolfs. She also has another good book about vampires called The Silver Kiss. Both books have a love story in them.

I'd recommend The Talisman, by Stephen King. The Vampire Chronicles by Ann Rice are great. Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz is good, better than most Koontz novels in my eyes.

My nephews really liked the Darren Shan Vampire books. There's a whole series of them and they're pretty exciting.

LJ Smith writes the best supernatural novels. One quartet that I enjoyed by her is the Vampire Diaries. Also try the Dark Visions trilogy along with the Forbidden game trilogy. Here's the amazon.com link: http://www.amazon.com/s/002-1442579-5614435?ie=UTF8&index=books&rank=-relevance%2C%2Bavailability%2C-daterank&field-author-exact=L.%20J.%20Smith

Just make sure you read them in order or you'll get lost. :)
