Sounds like the kid has poor parental influence in their life. You need to talk with the parents and explain the lack of discipline and respect that you are getting from their child and ask what they want you to do about it. It is not your job to be a parent...They need to start controlling their child. Tell them you cannot continue watching the kid if they will not support your decision to laying down some ground rules while you are their and they need to SUPPORT you or else it won't matter at all. It is so disappointing to me how parents are raising their children to be ungrateful, irresponsible, rude little hellions.

you just let them whine and scream and pitch fits until they are blue in the face. you have to figure out who is the parent and who is the child. the child has to know that too. right now your child is walking all over you and you have to put your foot down and let them know that what you say goes. after some screaming and whining the child will know that you mean business, but no matter what you can't give in. it's called tough love.

ignore the whining and screaming. YOU ARE IN CHARGE... not the child. The child will give up on the whining and screaming eventually... but you have to be consistent. Don't give in if you already said no. Stay firm.... and ignore the bad behavior.

Tell the child's mother...you're the sitter...how old are they?! Cause if they understand consequences.. tell them you'll tell on them and see what happens...
