Over the last century or so America has been pretty much a pacific continent, except for the United States most of the other nations have been at peace with each other (for the most part). So there was very little use for intervention from the United Nations, except maybe in the case of the United States intervening in Nicaragua where the UN brokered the internation lawsuit of Nicaragua vs. United States, where Nicaragua accused the United States of illegally arming the Contras (this case led to the Iran-Contra affair) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations .

Always selfish, eh?
The UN is basically a failing group. It was constructed with a good heart but isn't working the way it was intended. They're failing to help the people who need it as much as they really can.
As for helping America, I can't think of any really. I don't see why that matters though. Don't be so selfish! America's doing just fine as it is. We don't have large terrorist populations attacking us all the time or at war with a neighboring country or even have a large AIDS or starving population.

The UN is out to destroy the USA and Israel and any other democracy or republic that exists. They want one world government communist control. That is why we should declare war on them next.
