Given the level of chance involved in a short playoff series, I think it's almost impossible to say who will win. Even the best team can be beaten by a couple of hot players in a short series, as the Marlins proved when they beat the Yankees a few years ago.
Any playoff team from the AL is capable of making a run, and I think the same holds true for the Mets and the eventual NL West champ in the senior league.

Detroit Tigers, in keeping with the tradition of the team that no one expects to win from the last few years, that is my pick. I am just crossing fingers it is not the Yankees they are ruining the sport, they now have a payroll that is 100 million greater then the next closest team, they four players on there team that make equal to or more then the entire Florida Marlin roster of 19 million(and they are still in the playoff hunt) It makes a joke of baseball.

Cincinnatti will take the division over the Cardinals and then win it all with the help of Adam Dunn and Ken Griffey Jr. Plus the younger players who are tearing it up like Hatteberg, Auriallia, and Phillips.
