To be honest, yes and no! America has pulled some dumb junk over the last couple of years, especially since Bush has been in the office. We in war because we suspected that other countries had bombs. When we found out that they didn't we blamed it on something else. We re-elected Bush, and thought we was doing right by that. Now we got Korea upset...I forgot why but I saw it on the news, and that can't be good, because they were one of our friendly third world countries! Other countries hate America because of stuff like that. I'm afraid to travel to other countries, and I want to but I don't want to get killed just because I'm an American! Our soldiers are already dying because of that. I love America, we are so powerful, but the bigger they are...you know the rest! I'm all American, and I love America so much, thank God I was born here, so I wouldn't trade it, I just wish we made more friends than enemies.

Yes, I love America and I am proud to be an American, but I am also aware of the way we are viewed by other countries. While I don't think that their anti-American views are necessarily correct, I can see how our political actions and our lifestyle as perceived by others has contributed to their sentiment.

It's up to each of us to prove the stereotype of 'The Ugly American' wrong.

I might be a bit confused about the Americans.
I have an American / Dutch nationality and President of a foundation in The Netherlands giving Humanitarian and financial support for the Lakota / Sioux Native American Indians of the United States of America...
And they have proven that they are '' The Real Americans '' of the United States of America...

Yes. I have lived in many other places and have found no other place where I can so openly criticize the government, take action against things I believe are wrong, and influence change. However, I associate this with an enlightened society, not "being American".

When I am in a country filled with people who openly hate the US, I don't find myself upset or angry, on the contrary I am amused. The people remind me of the "ugly American" who is arrogant and ignorant. As "ugly" as we Americans are it is humorous to note that ignorance and shortsightedness are the foundation of beliefs in many countries.

Yes, reader, I'm talking about YOUR country. Instead of being angry with the US you would be better off to open your eyes, learn as much as you can, and start fixing your own backwards country.

I'm not always proud of the things my government does, but I love the constitution and the principles our country was founded on. I just wish we would get back to what the original founders intended our country to be instead of what it has become. The US is a great place to live.

YOU BE STRAIGHT UP TRIPPIN!!? i wouldn't have it N E other way!!!!!!!!! Land of the Free home of the Churro and Philly Cheese Steak. Although some places lack in quality of life, we are constantly improving those places to make them better. Freedom of basically everything, if we aren't free to do it, then it most likely shouldn't be done at all, those are all things that contribute to the order and peace that we as Americans are able to have. It's both a privilage and an Honor to be an All-American!

Very proud - I do think, however, that the Americans should do more to take care of our own, rather than worrying about starving kids in other countries. We have starving and homeless people here that need help!
