Zero is divisible by any number and leaves no remainder. In this it is unique. ( 0/n = 0 ; independent of what "n" is. When a number...say 5, is divided by a pedestrian integer you get quotients like: 1.666 (5/3) or 0.625 (5/8) but divide any number by zero and the quotient is...undefined. Every single time.
But some say that every integer must be even or odd, and state, "An integer 'n' is called *even* if there exists an integer m such that n = 2m...From this, it is clear that 0 = (2)(0) is even."
Some sources claim zero is neither negative nor positive, while others label it a positive number. It's a positively odd situation that leaves us in a quandary over nothing. Ultimately, we suggest deciding for yourself.

0 is an even number. An integer n is called *even* if there exists
an integer m such that n = 2m, and *odd* if n+1 is even. From this,
it is clear that 0 = (2)(0) is even. The reason for this definition
is so that we have the property that every integer is either even or
odd.
I'm surprised that some teachers believe 0 to be neither even nor
odd....

By definiton, an even number is a number that can be expressed s 2x, where x is any integer. (any whole number, their negatives, and 0)
Since 0 is an integer, and 2*0 = 0, 0 is in the definition of an even #. So, 0 is even.

whatever you do, just dont ask this question again ...its so funny and answer to ur question is=====0 is even ....dude
1. we have 10 nos in our no system called decimal system hence we gotta have 5 odd and 5 even, hence proved
2. Also every odd no. - 1 = even no i.e. 1(odd) - 1 =0(even) hence proved
3. every even % 2 = 0 i.e even no. on division by 0 should leave remainder 0 i.e. 0%2 =0 (hence proved)
i can give ya a lot more facts but i gotta sleep now.....
.........even if you dont believe it....it isn't gonna change the facts

If they did then you should KNOW why 0 is an even number

0 is not a number. That oval looking shape is just a symbol that signifies/indicates the absence of any or all units under consideration. An ordinal number indicating an initial point of origin. An argument at which the value of a function vanishes.
Hope This is what needed. Take care.

Yes, it is a number. Its neither even nor odd, its not divisable by 2, which makes the determination if a number is even.

yes 0 in mathematical terms is a real number used to express just that 0
say if you have 3 apples and your friend eats all of them how many do you have? even number of apples? no!
you have none.

i think 0 is an even number
people say any number that ends in a 0,2,4,6, or 8
are all even numbers
even tho it is only one digit it shouldnt matter
since 2,4,6, and 8 are all one digit also

Check it against the definition of even. Any number divided by two that has no remainder is even.
