I realize he's never out of touch and he can work from his ranch and blah blah blah but really, isn't the idea that he needs a "vacation" while our troops are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan sickening? He's the commander-in-chief after all, he should act like it.

A presidential vacation is just a change of scenery. He still works every day. FDR died in Warn Springs, Georgia in the middle of WW II. Even I wouldn't begrudge the POTUS that kind of vacation.

An Intern under the desk in the oval office is another matter. That's inappropriate behavior in any work environment.

He needs down time also. He has a much higher stress job than any of us have. ( I am military and say that) We need him at his best to handle the stress of the job (agree or not with his decisions), and he can not do it for four years 24/7/365. It is way to much to ask of anyone.

Because he is a jack @ss! when Katrina hit, he was on vacation and didn't go visit the survivors till 5 days later when his vacation was over. his justification: They can live. those were his real words.

I would love to see George W. Bush burn in a fire!!!! >: )

Amazingly enough, every time he's on vacation, there's always an attempt to attack the USA. Coincidence?

There is no such thing as a presidential vacation. The press just calls it that whenever he isn't in D.C.
