Kepler Wessels played international cricket as an opener for Australia whilst South Africa were banned because of apartheit(1971-1991).
He made 162 for Australia on his debut vs England at the Gabba, and even averaged 56 vs the West Indies at the height of their power in the 80's. His test average of 43 in 24 tests over 4 years at a time when Australia were weak showed his good service to his adopted team.
When South Africa were readmitted to test cricket in 1992, he became their first captain after the ban. And even though four players have played for more than one nation, he then scored 118 in Durban vs India in 1992 to become the first ever player to score centuries for more than one nation.
