A first class lever (fulcrum between the load and the effort). The two bboys alternate as load and effort. Meaning, the boy on the lower end acts as the load (the thing needing lifting), whitle the other acts as the effort (the force needed to move the load)
There are other kinds of levers, called the 2nd and 3rd class levers.
2nd class levers: load is in the middle (example, wheelbarrow fully loaded)
3rd class: Effort is in the middle (example, ice tongs)
