Well, it all depends on which social status you belong to. Obviously a gentleman would never call a lady "slut" and I truly believe not all men are beast too. If you are referring to the lower class group, yes of course because life is nothing but indulged in sex whenever they are available. In another words, be it men or women, if they are successful and financially independent, then there should be a better term to address rather than using such an abusive language on oneself.
