Well there is a difference ONLY when u play a GAME or use a picture/video editing software .......in this case DVI is recomended. But in rest will woks fine both .

use the dvi, that is a true digital connection. And have fun, there is nothing more fun than gaming on a 50" or larger screen.

DVI is digital, no signal loss. Use the DVI.
