The answer may be right under your nose. You're 14, so you're in the age range of your target market. What kind of products or services are you and your friends really interested in? Just pay attention to what your friends are already wanting or just as easy, what you're already wanting.
Also, don't let anyone discourage you with "you're too young" and junk like that. You are never too young to start. When others tell you it can't be done, or you're too young, then that a big clue as to that fact that you are on the right track.
Also, if you can afford US$17.00 (you'll need your parents permission & credit card), sign up at www.businessfastlane.com for ideas on other businesses people have started and were successful with. It's US$17.00 per month, but you could review all that information (or print it out) in 1 months time. And yes, there are case studies of young people in their teens or not even teens yet that have started successful businesses and made a lot of money.
Good luck young lady and hope you make your 1st million before you're 18 years old.

Babysitting, delivering local magazines, making jewellery (there are shops that sell the bits for earrings etc) Helping out at a market stall so you learn how to sell, dog-walking, selling unwanted items from your relatives lofts etc, on Ebay..can be lucrative! Good luck!
Also. Draw a wheel on large paper. Each part of wheel put a goal (bike/car/holiday/clothes/whatever) and then begin to imagine you have achieved all you need and want. It really works. When I was 12 I wanted a farm. Got one when I was 40!!

I have always had this idea but never did it so I'll share it with you. Now that I'm a parent- it's so hard to find a great babysitter these days. It would be great to see kids who have references. My idea is to gather a group of kids who love kids- but to make money- you need contacts. YOU could develop a "resume" of sorts that teenagers could use when finding new babysitting. A book or portfolio would work. It would need to include testimonials from other parents saying what a great job you did, what you could improve on, include picture pages that the teenagers could put pictures of themselves having fun with the kids. When their job is done they would have the parents jot down in their book the above information; and when they are developing their contact list- they have a resume. Parents would be more inclined to pay more and tip more when they see how organized, professional, and mature you are. YOU could be the club organizer, and charge one dollar for every job that you helped them find, and charge five dollars for every portfolio you helped develop. Above all else: you need to present this to your friends/social circle so they believe it will work. Be organized and precise when you present your idea. One more thing: have fun! And believe in yourself. Just posting this question is proof that you are on the right track!

You are asking the wrong people!!!!!!!!!!
Don't be different starting out. That is where most businesses go wrong. Find out what is selling, and found out how you can do it better.
But, you need to start with you...
First off, do you have anything that you spend money on a regular basis?
How do you get your money?
The problem I think that you are going to run into is that you market really doesn't have a lot of money. Or, things that they spend it on a regular basis.
But, I could be wrong...So, list everything that you like to do on a sheet of paper.
And when I say like to do, I mean enough that you would spend your money to do it.
And then create a survey and get all of your friends to fill it out.
Approach any vocation teachers that you have, and ask them to pass the survey out in class.
And go from there....
I would love for you to surprise me, and find a product to work for your market...
You want to know the real secret to business, and you are the perfect age to start...
Make contacts...
Start by messaging the gentleman that answered the question.
Email me...
questionsunc@yahoo.com
Networking 101 is the best thing to do for your business.
Most of can't do it right, because we need money now so we end up short cutting the process.
If you email me, I'll teach you how to do it right, and even how you can earn a "little" money in your market.

This is a tough one. I've got a couple ideas, but you'll have to analyze their viability on your own... you've got more info than I do...
1) Party/Event Planning - you could organize the details of get-togethers... food, drinks, decorations, locations, invitations, activities, ect.
2)Organizational Help - you could help people get their rooms, lockers, cars, schedules organized so that they can keep on top of their busy lives.
3) Jewelry making - you could make bracelets, earrings, necklaces out of just about anything (this depends heavily on your creative skill and inclination as well as on your marketing ability)
If you can, I would suggest a service-based business. These types of businesses have a much lower overhead cost because you don't have to purchase goods to sell - you're selling your services instead of physical objects.
Wishing you lots of luck!!

Jewellery doesn't have to be gold or silver ( ours is) . You can pick up some good fashion jewellery very cheap or make your own. Firemountaingems.com is the leading supplier of beads. and suppliers and they have hints on how to make it. You can also look at the jewelry section in about.com
Good luck

Under 18s nightclub nights, where you creat the look and aid in lighting and flyer design etc...
Security will be your biggest issue to keep alcohol, drugs and trouble makers out.
A good way is music scenes that gernerally do not attract trouble...
As not about image...or being hard.
Ie psy trance nights, rock, skatepunk, nu metal, goth etc nights

Little things for the littler people, those younger than you.
Make them and sell them, but what that will be is your trade secret.
