I had skipped a month of my bc pills and then got back on them this past month. My husband and I were debating the issue of another baby, we have a 16 month old. I am not ready bc of a difficult pregnancy. Then my period was 4 days late, that is if it was a period. Allot of brownish red blood at first then little spotting, but nothing else.....did I have implantation bleeding? Or a weird period? Just asking opinions, before getting a test. By the way, I am taking yasmine 28.

I have not been on Yasmine, but I am on the Ortho Evra Patch.

I stopped taking it for two months for the same reason; we thought we may try to get pregnant, but decided not to.

When I restarted taking the patch, my periods were odd like that as well, with brownish blood (old blood), and strange spotting. This strange period came every month for about 2-3 months, then returned to normal.

I'm not sure why it happened, since when I first originally started the patch, I didn't get strange periods. But who knows.

It sounds though, like you're just having your period.

Sounds like implantation bleeding to me. If it was spotty/brown and lasted a day or 2 then I think that it was it is. DO you have any pregnancy symptoms? I would say to test 14 days after the start of the bleeding and then you will know for sure. GOODLUCK

Sounds like implantation bleeding to me, not a period. I would get a test & take it first thing in the morning just to be sure.

it's probably just your period being a little off. when you stop taking yasmin it can take a little longer for the cycle to be normal as it would with other pills.

My guess would be spotting because of stopping/starting your B/C pills. If you've been debating having another child, the stress could also have put your system out of whack.

it could have been your body trying to get use to the BC again since you stopped and then started again. take a test or ask your doctor, it could be nothing.

Take a test

If you are not pregnant and do not wish to be at this time...stop skipping your BCPs so you won't have to worry about being pregnant.

I think it's just your body readjusting to the birth control.

I would call your obgyn, tell them of the change. it doesn't sound dangerous. but you can never be to careful when it comes to your health.
